NBC ABstracts & Posters

Scientific posters are an essential part of the 2026 AAPS National Biotechnology Conference (NBC) and an opportunity to share your research and contribute to the body of pharmaceutical science. They are also a great way to find collaborators, attract recruiters, and meet editors.

Poster Abstract Submissions – Submission Site Now Closed!

Important Notes for Authors

You must become an AAPS member before submitting your abstract if you plan to use the membership discount on your registration to attend and present your poster at the 2026 NBC. Join now!
Be sure to read all instructions and complete all tasks. The submission site will guide you through submitting your abstract step-by-step.
Use the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is not supported.
All abstract submissions must be completed in the submission website. AAPS will not accept abstracts submitted by other means.
You must format your abstract as described in the Call for Poster Abstracts.
Review the Tracks/Themes/Keyword(s) in the Call for Poster Abstracts before beginning your submission to ensure your abstract fits the meeting’s tracks.

There is a non-refundable, per abstract, submission fee of $75 for students/post docs and $150 for professionals/non-students to submit a Poster Abstract. Submission fees are payable by credit card only

Information for Volunteer Screeners

Screener Training Document

AAPS seeks volunteer poster abstract screeners to review submitted poster abstracts for the 2026 National Biotechnology Conference. To be a screener you must agree to:

Review and select the Review Groups in which you are experienced. The Review Groups correspond to the NBC Tracks/Themes/Keyword(s)
Review Screener Training before screening begins – available January 30, 2026.
Spend a few minutes familiarizing yourself with the applicable literature in your area of expertise.
Spend a few minutes reading each abstract assigned to you and answering a few questions about it.
Review assigned abstracts January 30-February 10, 2026.

Presenting Author Registration Deadline is March 18, 2026. Refer to the Call for Poster Abstracts page for important dates and additional information.

Poster Creation and Upload

All posters must be uploaded by May 6, 2026!

STEP 1: USE AN APPROVED POSTER TEMPLATE

You must use an approved poster template provided by AAPS. Download a template:

Directions for using the template are written inside of it – read each section carefully! Information about font size, images, and other details are included.

All posters are presented on digital screens at the conference. Posters printed on paper are not permitted.

STEP 2: UPLOAD YOUR POSTER

You will receive an email from [email protected] with a link that will automatically give you access.

STEP 3: ADD AUDIO NARRATION TO YOUR POSTER

Authors are encouraged to add audio narrations to each section of their poster. This will help registrants grasp the research presented in the poster before contacting the author for additional information and discussion. We recommend you keep your narrations brief. A few seconds spent explaining the basics of what the listener is seeing will help them become engaged with your work.

After you upload your poster, AAPS will process it, which may take from a few hours to a few days, depending on the timing of your submission. You will receive an email once the poster is ready for you to add audio narration. Once you receive an email stating your poster is ready, visit this page to add narration to your poster.

DEADLINES AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION

All poster presenting authors must register to attend the meeting by March 18, 2026.
No changes to the presenting author are possible after May 1, 2026. If you must change a presenting author to a coauthor of the abstract before May 1, email your change request to Teresa Homrich at [email protected]. You must include your abstract submission ID number, name of the coauthor presenting, and coauthor email address.
You must upload your poster file by May 6, 2026.
