FAQ About AAPS PharmSci 360

The AAPS team answers the most frequently asked questions about AAPS' brand-new event for 2018, PharmSci 360.

Q1: Is PharmSci 360 replacing the Annual Meeting?

A1: Yes! The final AAPS Annual Meeting took place in November 2017.  AAPS is launching a brand new event with a different program and format, AAPS PharmSci 360, November 4-7, 2018, in Washington, DC.

Q2: When is the 2018 AAPS National Biotechnology Conference?

A2: The final AAPS National Biotechnology Conference was held in May 2017.

Q3: Why did AAPS retire both the National Biotechnology Conference and Annual Meeting?

A3: AAPS member leaders recognized that the pharmaceutical sciences have changed.  Members need more exposure to both biomolecular and chemical entities, regardless of what field and discipline they work in.

Q4: How is PharmSci 360 different from the Annual Meeting and the National Biotechnology Conference?

A4: The National Biotechnology Conference focused only on biomolecular topics. The AAPS Annual Meeting, meanwhile, featured split programming – 70% chemical and 30% biomolecular in 2017.  This programming no longer addresses our members’ needs. Instead, we have created PharmSci 360, with programming evenly split between chemical and biomolecular entities, and tied together with topics that will help scientists from both fields interact and expand their knowledge.

Q5:  How did you choose the Solution Center sections?

A5: The Solution Center mirrors the 5 scientific tracks.  For companies who align with multiple areas, they have the option to reserve in the general section.

Q6: When will the programming be decided, and can I participate?

A6: The new PharmSci 360 Programming Committee will request program proposals in Spring 2018.

Q7: When will registration be available for PharmSci 360?

A7: Registration will be available in Spring 2018.
