The AAPS Journal Impact Factor Grows from 3.6 to 4.5
Arlington, VA—AAPS is pleased to announce that the impact factor for The AAPS Journal grew from 3.6 to 4.5 in 2022.
This is an exciting accomplishment made more significant by timing. Several journals in the pharmaceutical space saw their impact factors drop as Clarivate’s citation calculation changed, and citations of COVID-19-relevant articles eased.
“The editorial team of The AAPS Journal is pleased to note the rise in the Journal’s impact factor this year,” Editor-in-Chief Ho-Leung Fung, Ph.D., said. “We strive to publish articles of significant impact in our field. We hope to continue to serve as a leading venue for publishing important research by pharmaceutical scientists worldwide.”
“The AAPS Journal has proven to be a forum for credible, cutting-edge research backed by a robust peer review process,” AAPS President Patrick Sinko, Ph.D., said. “I credit the success of the journal to the strong and dedicated leadership of Dr. Fung, who has led the publication for 18 years.”
Dr. Fung will step down as Editor-in-Chief of The AAPS Journal at the end of 2023. AAPS is in the process of evaluating candidates for the position.
