The AAPS Journal Impact Factor Rises to 5.0
Arlington, VA—AAPS is pleased to announce that the impact factor for The AAPS Journal grew from 4.5 to 5.0 in 2023.
The journal is now ranked 43 out of 354 journals on related topics according to data provided by Springer Nature, which publishes the journal. It is also within the top 12% of all eligible pharmacology and pharmacy journals.
Additionally, the impact factor for AAPS PharmSciTech has increased from 3.3 to 3.4. It is ranked 105 out of 354 related scientific journals and is in the top 30% of pharmacology and pharmacy journals. Pharmaceutical Research held steady with a 3.5 impact factor.
Anurag Rathore, Ph.D., who assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief of The AAPS Journal in January, credited the increase to his predecessor, Ho-Leung Fung, Ph.D., FAAPS. Fung oversaw the journal for nearly two decades—including 2021 and 2022, the basis for the new impact factors.
“AAPS and its editors are committed to sharing credible research that can advance our field,” Rathore said. “Our impact factor is an indicator of the quality and relevance of the research that we pursue.”
“We are most grateful to the authors and reviewers who contribute their efforts and time to The AAPS Journal, and we look forward to their continuing support to grow the journal further,” Fung said.
AAPS members have free, unlimited, electronic access to articles in AAPS’ four peer-reviewed journals. To access The AAPS Journal, visit the journal website.
