AAPS Seeks Fellows Committee Members
AAPS is accepting applications for the vice chair position and member positions to serve on the AAPS Fellows Committee for a three-year term from February 2026 to July 2028.
The AAPS Fellows Committee oversees the selection of Fellows, recognizing select AAPS members for their scientific impact in the field.
You must be an AAPS Fellow to apply for this role. Read the AAPS Fellows Handbook (PDF) and the Fellows Committee Charter (PDF) to learn more.
Application Deadline: Friday, December 19, at 5:00pm ET
Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Must be an AAPS member at time of application and throughout service
- Must be an AAPS Fellow
- Must use electronic platforms to receive and review nominations and participate in mandatory committee training and discussion
- Maintain confidentiality during service and afterward
- Act impartially and diligently
- Declare conflicts of interest to the chair and recuse themselves from discussions and votes taken on such nominations
- Promote the Fellows program to members in general terms through social media, AAPS Communities, and their professional network
Members of this committee commit to:
- Participating in committee conference calls as needed, however, not more than once per month
- Participating in a two-day virtual Fellows Committee meeting in July
- Reviewing assigned nomination packets between May and July
- Sharing insights and making recommendations to other committee members on candidates
