Standing Committees

Assists the Board of Directors in discharging its fiduciary responsibilities.
Approves new awards, recommends changes for existing awards, and works to increase number of award applicants.
Advises AAPS on business and industry trends.
Empowers career development for AAPS members across all sectors and career stages for pharmaceutical scientists.
Advocates for pharmaceutical scientists from diverse backgrounds by ensuring that AAPS is a welcoming organization to all scientists; providing a transparent, inclusive experience for all members; and creating equitable access to valuable, personal and professional development opportunities for all members.
Assists the Board of Directors in developing standards and policies and in overseeing code of conduct policy compliance for AAPS.
Selects AAPS Fellows as submitted through the AAPS Fellows nomination process.
Assists the AAPS Board of Directors with maintaining regular and aligned focus on AAPS’ established and approved strategic implementation plans in order to apply AAPS’ attention and resources where they will best impact the advancement and achievement of the strategic plan goals.
Manages the review of all contributed papers submitted for presentation at AAPS National Biotechnology Conferences and oversees the screening process of all conference travelships.
Responsible for planning high-quality scientific content that engages the audience target for the AAPS National Biotechnology Conferences.
Seeks, identifies, and nominates the best candidates for AAPS Board of Directors president, treasurer, and members‐at‐large.
Manages the review of all contributed papers submitted for presentation at the PharmSci 360 meetings and oversees the screening process of all PharmSci 360 meeting travelships.
Responsible for planning high-quality scientific content that engages the audience target for the AAPS PharmSci 360 meetings.
Provides guidance and offers strategic direction on key scientific, technical and regulatory issues that affect the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences.
Provides support and guidance to AAPS student members, postdoc members, and student chapters.
