The AAPS Dietary Supplement Forum: Exploring the Science of Nutraceuticals, was held June 28-30, 2000. The goal of the forum, featuring presentations by leading pharmaceutical scientists and physicians in industry and academia, as well as officials from FDA and NIH, was to gain a better understanding of the science and quality issues of dietary supplements. This is carried through the volume, and the informality of the presentations, panel discussions, and Q & A sessions has been preserved in a practical, hands-on format.
