About the Share Your Expertise Program

The Share Your Expertise program was created to enhance the AAPS Distance Learning electronic education initiative. It provides AAPS members with an additional venue for their publishing interests, and, as an end result, it offers a diverse selection of continuing education events. All without the need for travel, lodging, and time away from home and office.

AAPS is currently seeking continuing education content that could be released either as web-based on-demand webcasts or as text-and graphics presentations. Content length can range from approximately 20 minutes to several hours.

Authors may work alone, or in collaboration with colleagues, and may submit their material to AAPS in the form of either an electronic document or a narrated presentation. PowerPoint slides may be submitted as an attachment to an e-mail message.

Members who have an idea for a program may contact us for assistance, or may submit the proposal form at this time. The Share Your Expertise program is ongoing; there is no submission deadline. Proposals will be evaluated immediately upon receipt.

  Let's Get Started

Five Easy Steps:

  1. Fill out the online form. We'll review it immediately and contact you within 48 hours. Just click here to get started.
  2. Next, we'll discuss with you the most appropriate delivery format for your continuing education seminar. Perhaps it might be an on-demand webcast consisting of an audio lecture accompanied by synchronized PowerPoint slides. Or it might be an HTML based program, with text and graphics intermingled.
  3. We will then ask you to sign our standard speaker release form. If your PowerPoint slides contain work that belongs to others (charts, tables, photos, illustrations, etc.) you'll need to contact the original author/publisher for written permission.
  4. Create your PowerPoint slides, and either draft your narrative (for a text and graphics presentation) or compile your notes (for an on-demand webcast). And of course, we'll need a nice head-and-shoulders photo to include on the web!
  5. Finally, and again depending on the venue, we'll format your material on our web site. In the case of an on-demand webcast, we'll arrange a mutually convenient time to audiotape your presentation via the phone.
