Nucleic Acid Based Therapeutics Focus Group

In a short span of 10 years, nucleic acid based therapeutics has moved from concept to clinic, and rapid progress in this field is ongoing. AAPS provides an excellent forum to bring the concept of nucleic acid based therapeutics therapy to the mainstream. The mission of the focus group is to update the pharmaceutical community on the progress of nucleic acid-based therapies including antisense technologies, and to provide a forum to generate discussion on current issues involved in developing effective clinical nucleic acid-based products. This includes clinical trial updates, emerging technologies relating to delivery and expression of genes/oligonucleotides to target tissues, FDA regulations, manufacture/scale-up, and formulations.
