The Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Drug Metabolism (PPDM) section provides an international forum to examine issues related to the biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, imaging, drug metabolism, and transport of pharmaceutical products and therapies. The PPDM section brings together individuals whose research interests include characterization of drug and chemical actions, disposition, and biotransformation at the organism, tissue, cellular, and subcellular levels. The section provides an opportunity for networking, presentation of new data, and an exchange of ideas by individuals actively engaged in various facets of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, imaging, drug metabolism and transport, biopharmaceutics, and related sciences. This scientific exchange enables scientists from academia, industry, and regulatory agencies to improve/develop better therapies while jointly advancing their professional development and respective disciplines. The PPDM section recognizes the need for education and training of new scientists through active recruitment of new students and postdoctoral fellows, support of graduate faculty, and encouraging student participation in all PPDM section activities.
