In 1987, Dr. Arthur Mlodozeniec created a series of videotaped interviews with eminent pharmaceutical scientists to explore their experiences in developing research contributions that lead to the evolution of pharmaceutical technologies and pharmaceutics in general.

With the support of the AAPS Distance Learning Committee—under the original leadership of Dr. Marilyn Martinez—the tradition continued with the taping of new interviews, until September of 2006 when Dr. Mlodozeniec passed away.

In November of 2007, Dr. Leslie Z. Benet—an original founder of AAPS—took over as interviewer, and today we continue to add three new discussions to our site each year.
