Industry News Industry News FDA Delays Pfizer Prevnar 13 ApprovalDate: 08-01-2011 -- Pharmaceutical Business Review (08/01/11)body: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has delayed approval for Pfizer's supplemental biologics license application (sBLA) of pneumococcal 13-valent conjugate vaccine (Prevnar 13). The vaccine is intended for immunization against pneumococcal disease in patients aged 50 years and older. The vaccine's review period has been extended to January 2012.
